Three steps.

  1. Drag the app into Applications

    If you are replacing an older copy, quit it first. Your accounts, projects and drafts are kept.

  2. Open ResearchTogether

    It is signed and checked by Apple. If macOS asks whether to open an app downloaded from the internet, choose Open.

  3. Open a folder, and connect an AI account when you want help

    A project is any folder on your Mac. Reading, writing and marking up work without an AI account; add one in Settings when you want a conversation.

Get the installer.

Apple Silicon Macs today. Intel Macs, Windows and Linux are not supported yet; use ResearchTogether in your browser instead. The app updates itself from version 1.3.0; earlier versions update by installing again from here.
