How does ResearchTogether make money?
It does not. There is no subscription or paid plan, nothing is added to your AI bill, there are no ads, and your data is never sold.
Do I need an AI account to use the app?
No. Reading, writing, marking up documents and Community work without one; connect an account when you want a conversation, ReadFaster or Tutor.
Which parts need OpenAI specifically?
ReadFaster and Tutor use your OpenAI account, separately from any Claude or Codex sign-in.
Can I use Claude or Codex for everything else?
Yes. Talk, Plan and Auto run on whichever connected account you pick when you write your message.
Is Community free?
Yes. Reading public research needs no account; sign in with Google to follow, discuss, post requests and suggest changes.
Will there be a paid plan?
There is no paid plan today and none is announced; if that changes, this page will say so and the app will keep working without one.
